Meet our team — Restoration Youth & Family

Our team includes founders, clinicians, educators, and coaches — each of them here because of a story, a conviction, or a moment that made this work feel like the only thing worth doing. You'll get to know them. So will your teenager.

Owner • Founder • CEO

Michelle Schwolert, MA, LPC, EMDR, LCDC-I

Michelle Schwolert founded Restoration Youth & Family based on her personal experiences with mental health challenges affecting entire families. Her professional work further confirmed these insights. Before Restoration, she established and led an adolescent residential treatment center in DFW, witnessing teenagers transform from crisis to hope. Restoration was created to bridge the gap between crisis and recovery, grounded in the belief that every teenager's story is worth restoring.

Co-Founder • Chief of Educational & Program Operations

Jill Adams, M.Ed., PSC, LPC

With 26 years of experience supporting teenagers and their families, Jill Adams began her journey as a classroom teacher and coach. She later earned a Master's in Counseling from the University of North Texas, serving as a school counselor and Director of Counseling and Social Work for Lewisville ISD. As a former President of the Texas School Counselor Association, TBRI practitioner, and certified Dare to Lead facilitator, Jill brings her extensive expertise to Restoration, driven by the belief that every teenager possesses inner strength worth discovering.

Monya Crow, M.Ed., PSC, LPC-S

Monya Crow's career spans a Special Education Behavior Intervention classroom, K–12 crisis counseling, a private practice serving adolescents and families, and ten years as Executive Director of Counseling and Social Work for Lewisville ISD. A certified TBRI practitioner, Texas School Counselor Association board member, and co-founder of Power of the Pair LLC, Monya leads Clinical Operations at Restoration — overseeing the therapeutic model and the quality of care every teen and family receives.
Clinical Therapist

Ria Morrison, M.Ed., LPC-Associate, PSC

Ria Morrison has dedicated 22 years to empowering teenagers by giving them a genuine voice in their healing journey. With extensive experience in classrooms and school counseling, she earned her LPC-Associate license, offering a comprehensive understanding of adolescent development. Ria utilizes CBT, DBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, focusing on the interplay between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Her aim is not to fix what is broken but to help teens uncover their inherent power and strength. As a mother of two teenagers, she combines professional expertise with personal insight to support the families she works with.

Director of Admissions

Melanie Schwolert

Melanie Schwolert brings nearly twenty years of healthcare marketing and admissions experience to Restoration — and a conviction that a family in crisis should reach a real person, not a process. She is often the first voice families hear when they call, and she treats that conversation as the beginning of care rather than a step before it. An artist herself, Melanie joins teens for expressive activities whenever she can, and she'll tell you it's her favorite part of the week — watching a teenager who couldn't find the words find them in paint instead.
Education Lead

Joseph Kaye, Ed.D.

With a doctorate, experience across three states, and a steadfast belief in the potential of teenagers, Joseph Kaye's career includes classroom teaching in Florida, certified alcohol and drug counseling at DePaul Youth Treatment Center in Oregon, program management at The Bridge of Central Massachusetts, and serving as Director of Student Success at Florida SouthWestern State College. His educational leadership at Restoration is driven by the conviction that meaningful, challenging work is essential and that every teenager's future deserves attention.
Director of Marketing & Business Development

Zoey Ator, B.S.

Zoey Schwolert Ator holds a B.S. in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Arkansas and has spent nearly ten years in healthcare — the last five in behavioral health. At Restoration, she leads marketing and business development, bringing the brand to life while serving as the first point of contact for referring providers, school counselors, and families. Much of her work happens out in the community, connecting people with resources they didn't know existed. What drives all of it is simple: she wants to see teenagers heal and thrive.

Experiential Director

Matthew Schwolert, B.S.

With 25 years of experience, Matthew Schwolert has dedicated his career to helping young people discover their potential beyond traditional settings. After 21 years as a classroom teacher and coach, he transitioned to experiential programming at a residential treatment center, eventually joining Restoration to lead their experiential program. As a certified Texas Parks and Wildlife instructor and NASP Archery in Schools instructor, Matthew is driven by the belief that new experiences can uncover hidden strengths.

Program Manager

Emily Skomer, B.S., RBT

Emily Skomer became the mentor she needed during her own teenage years. Her journey is deeply personal, having faced mental health challenges without adequate support. With a B.S. in Psychology and as a Registered Behavior Technician, she has extensive experience in care coordination at a residential treatment center and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. At Restoration, Emily leads program management with a firm belief that healing starts with genuine connection, ensuring no teenager faces their toughest times alone.

Hope Coach

Emily Jacoby, B.S. (in progress)

Once labeled as overly sensitive, Emily Jacoby embraced this trait as her superpower. Currently completing her Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Child Learning & Development, Emily's insights extend beyond academics. Her personal journey of transforming sensitivity into strength fuels her dedication to working with teens. With three years of K–12 tutoring experience, she excels in connecting with teenagers through creativity and curiosity, passionately advocating for those who feel misunderstood to find their authentic voice.
