You've been doing everything you can. And something still isn't right.

Happy family. Hope Speaks mental health solutions in Richardson TX

You didn't arrive here by chance. Something has been developing—perhaps for weeks or even years—and your current efforts aren't enough to address it. Maybe your teenager was recently discharged from an inpatient facility and needs a meaningful next step. Perhaps they've been attending weekly therapy for months, but progress seems stagnant. Or maybe things escalated rapidly, requiring more support than your current provider can offer. Whatever led you here, you've found the right place.

Your teen may be carrying one of these — or more than one at once.

Anxiety

Panic attacks, school refusal, a world that keeps getting smaller. The worry that never turns off.

Depression

Flat, furious, or completely gone. The teen you know has disappeared and you don't know how to reach them.

Trauma & ptsd

Something happened — and it hasn't stayed in the past. It's showing up in their body, their relationships, and their daily life.

Self-Harm

Not manipulation. Not attention. A teenager in real pain who found the one thing that gives them temporary relief.

Emotional Dysregulation

Explosions from nowhere. Complete shutdowns. A nervous system with more feeling than tools to manage it.

School Refusal

They're not going. Or they're barely holding together while they're there and falling apart the moment they get home.

Suicidal Ideation

The thoughts are there. They're stable enough to be home — but this level of support isn't enough anymore.

Addiction

Substances, screens, or something harder to name. A teenager reaching for something external to manage internal pain.

post-Inpatient

The hospital stabilized the crisis. Now your teen needs the bridge that makes it actually hold.

We don't treat the diagnosis. We treat the whole person behind it.

At Restoration, every teen who walks through our door brings a story — shaped by experiences, relationships, and moments that deserve care, not just clinical labels. Our approach is trauma-informed, relationship-based, and built around a single belief: people are not their problems. We help teenagers separate who they are from what they've been through, understand the narratives that have been keeping them stuck, and begin to rewrite something truer and better.

Narrative Therapy

Re-authoring identity involves helping teens distinguish their true selves from the challenges they face. This process empowers them to see beyond their struggles, fostering a sense of self that is not defined by their difficulties. By focusing on their strengths and potential, teens can begin to craft a narrative that reflects their resilience and capacity for growth.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Four daily skill rotations: Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Executive Functioning

EMDR & TF-CBT

Our evidence-based trauma processing methods, such as EMDR and TF-CBT, are designed to be adaptable to each teen's unique pace and tolerance. These therapies focus on safely processing traumatic memories, helping teens gradually reduce the emotional impact of past experiences. By doing so, they can begin to heal and regain control over their lives, fostering resilience and emotional stability.

Internal Family Systems

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy helps teens explore their inner world by identifying and understanding different 'parts' of themselves. These parts might include the inner critic, which often judges harshly, the protector, which tries to shield them from pain, and the wounded part, which holds past hurts. By approaching these parts with curiosity rather than judgment, teens can develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves, leading to healing and integration.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) encourages teens to embrace their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting or feeling guilty for them. By focusing on values and committed actions, teens learn to navigate life's challenges with greater resilience and purpose. This approach helps them build a life that aligns with their core values, even in the presence of discomfort.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a powerful tool that helps teens identify and alter negative thought patterns. By recognizing these patterns, teens can learn to challenge and change them, leading to healthier behaviors and improved emotional well-being. This approach empowers them to break free from cycles of negativity and develop a more positive outlook on life.

Trust-Based Relational Intervention

Attachment-focused, trust-building care that delves into the underlying causes of challenging behavior. This approach emphasizes creating a secure and nurturing environment where teens feel safe to express themselves. By fostering strong, positive relationships, it helps address emotional and behavioral issues at their core, promoting healing and growth.

Motivational Interviewing

Encouraging teens to discover their own motivations for change, this approach focuses on internal growth rather than external demands. By fostering a sense of autonomy, teens are empowered to make meaningful decisions that align with their values and goals.

Expressive Therapies

Art, music, trauma-informed yoga, and outdoor education offer a holistic approach to healing. These expressive therapies allow teens to explore their emotions creatively and safely, fostering personal growth and emotional resilience.

A gentle first week

The first few days are about getting comfortable — meeting the space, the team, and the other teens. Individual work begins right away: core values, externalizing the problem, and the foundational question "How did I get here?"

Five days a week of real treatment

Groups, individual therapy, DBT rotations, academic support, family programming, psychiatric care — all of it, every week, guided by a weekly "Re" theme that gives treatment a coherent arc.

A thoughtful step-down — not a goodbye

PHP isn't meant to last forever. As your teen stabilizes and builds skills, we plan the next step together — whether that's our IOP, outpatient therapy, or a community referral. We don't discharge without a real plan.

Frequently asked Questions

How is a PHP different from inpatient care or weekly therapy?

Think of it as the level of care in between. Inpatient is 24-hour hospital-based care. Weekly therapy is one hour a week. PHP is intensive daily programming — without an overnight stay. Your teen gets real treatment. You still get them home every night.

What makes Restoration different from other programs?

Most programs build around a diagnosis. We build around a story. Our Narrative Therapy foundation means your teen isn't defined by their anxiety, depression, or trauma — they're guided to separate themselves from those things and start writing something new. The weekly Re framework gives treatment a cohesive arc that most programs don't have.

Will my teen fall behind in school?

No. We built specifically to prevent that. Our certified teachers provide one-on-one academic support, coordinate directly with your teen's school district, assist with credit recovery, IEP and 504 accommodations, and SAT prep. School isn't a casualty of treatment here — it's part of it.

My teenager doesn't want to come. What do we do?

Reluctance is completely normal — and honestly, something we're experienced at working through. Once teens arrive, the weekly themes, the expressive activities, and the peer connection tend to break the ice in ways traditional therapy doesn't. Most teens who arrive skeptical tell us they're glad they came — usually within the first week.

Can we see the space before we commit?

Absolutely — and we encourage it. We want your teen to feel comfortable before their first day. Call us to schedule a visit.

Do you accept insurance for therapy sessions?

I don't directly accept insurance at this time. However, I believe everyone deserves access to quality mental health support. If you're interested in working together but the session cost is a concern, please reach out! I offer sliding scale pricing for clients to help make therapy more accessible. We can discuss this during your free 15-minute consultation.

Good things are going to happen. Let’s start today.

Whether you're in the middle of a crisis or just know your teen needs more than a weekly appointment, you don't have to navigate this alone.
